Whether you are just touring round Scotland or making us your base to explore our beautiful countryside you will find a wealth of activity at Newtonmore.

Anyone not wanting anything so strenuous can watch the near by Waltzing Water display or visit the Wildlife Park at Kincraig. 

There is also the local Folk Museum at the north end of the village that is well worth a visit or the many watering holes (pubs) to sample the local brew known as Stag`s Breath or any of the many other whiskies from around Speyside.

If you wish, we can pre-book your evening meal at any of the local hotels.

We are situated in the Cairngorm National Park and where the T.V. series "Monarch of the Glen" was filmed

Ski-ing or Snowboarding on the near by Cairngorm, and of course our own local orbital walk round Newtonmore called the Wildcat Trail. The walks around the Wildcat Trail can be easy or more difficult depending on what you want to do. There is a brochure that can be purchased with all the walks included (£2.50). This walk is becoming well known especially at New Year time where people can do the Trail and collect a certificate of completion on New Years Day quite a feat.
